About Us
The Big Game Club was founded in 1962 in order to provide a record of big game animals taken by bowhunters in California. To date, there are more than 1600 different bowhunters with record book entries. The Big Game Club periodically publishes a Record Book listing all of these bowhunters and their accomplishments, with the newest edition being printed in 2003.

Think you've got a chance for a new state record Black Bear? Are you simply interested in finding out how good the hunting really is here in the Golden State?
If you answered "Yes" to any of these questions then you should really be interested in the California Bowmen Hunters/State Archery Association (CBH/SAA) Big Game Club. CBH/SAA is the only organization that specializes in promoting, defending, and expanding archery and bowhunting opportunity in California.
Upon becoming a member of CBH/SAA you will become eligible to have your animals scored by our certified measurers. All entries meeting our minimum standards will be entered into the CBH Big Game Record Book , and will also be eligible for the Two-Year Awards Program.
